My name is Kiarra Haley and I love being a part of the Trip family! 

I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Georgia when I was 8 years old. I attended a Gwinnett County school for my 3rd grade year before moving to Barrow County. I absolutely love Gwinnett and I vowed to return one day. 
As you can see, my dream came true! I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am so excited and I am looking forward to an awesome school year at Trip!!

Ms. Ashley Hashiguchi

My name is Ashley Hashiguchi. I have been teaching for 12 years, two years in south Fulton County teaching kindergarten, six years teaching third grade, and four years serving as the Dual Language Immersion (English side) kindergarten teacher at Trip Elementary. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and my Master’s Degree and ESOL endorsement from Georgia State University.

My family and I live in the Grayson/ Loganville community. I have 3 boys: Aki, Ami, and Aiden. As a family, we love to play baseball. We are always up at the ballfield either practicing, playing, or cheering for our friends. We are die hard Atlanta Braves Fans and try to catch as many games as we can. We love spending time together!

Ms. Shannon Hayes

My name is Shannon Hayes (Madame Hayes), welcome to 2nd Grade Dual Language Immersion French!  This year, I will begin my 27th year of teaching and my 13th year in Dual Language Immersion.  I started the DLI program at Trip in 2014 and my very first kindergarten DLI class will graduate from high school in May! I have been at Trip 18 years, since it first opened in 2008.  I received my Bachelors degree from Auburn University, War Eagle!  I hold a Masters degree from Brenau University and an Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. In addition, I hold teacher certificates in PreK - 12 French, Early Childhood Education, and Gifted Education. 

I have 3 amazing sons, ages 28, 26, and 22.  They all went to Trip Elementary, go Rams! I live on a small,family farm  and love animals.  In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, cooking and eating (Especially tacos!), and gardening.

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year, I truly LOVE teaching and learning. Trip Elementary is near and dear to my heart.  I am so blessed to be here and look forward to an amazing year with my new students and my amazing partner teacher, Mrs. Hashiguchi!  

Ms. Cheyenne Hoelscher

Hello, I am Cheyenne Hoelscher and I graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College with my undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have recently also received my Master's degree in Instructional Technology in Education. Some endorsements that I have as well include a Read, ESOL, and Gifted endorsement. I look forward to teaching 2nd grade this year with an amazing team! 

Ms. Krystal Kelly

Hello! I'm Krystal Kelly and I'm excited to join the Trip family! I was born and raised in the great state of Texas but later in life moved to Georgia. It is my goal to make school a place where students are excited about their learning. I aim to be a lifelong learner, and I want to instill that love and desire to learn onto my students as well. While not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  It's going to be an awesome year!

Ms. Michell Lindo 

Hi, I'm Michell M. Lindo, and I'm so excited to be your child's teacher this year!  I believe that teaching is the work of the heart, and after 30 years in education, I still love what I do.  Originally from the beautiful US Virgin Islands, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and have had the privilege of teaching students from kindergarten through middle school.  I'm also a proud mom of four amazing children who are all college graduates.  They remind me every day that with love, encouragement, and hard work, anything is possible.  My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, confident, and excited to learn.  I look forward to partnering with you to help your child grow, learn, and have a wonderful school year.  Welcome to our classroom!

Ms. Alise Mercier

Hi! my name is Alise Mercier and I love teaching here at Trip Elementary! I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently getting my Master's Degree also from KSU. I previously taught first grade, but I am thrilled to be teaching second grade this year!

Ms. Lyne Stephens

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Central State University and moved to Georgia from Memphis. Originally from Springfield, education has always been a meaningful part of my life. I graduated from the same university as my grandmother, aunts, uncle, and cousins, and I come from a long line of educators. My dad also retired from the school system in Ohio, so teaching and serving students has always been close to my heart.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students grow into confident readers, writers, mathematicians, and learners. I love building strong relationships with families and creating a classroom community where students feel safe, supported, encouraged, and celebrated. Seeing students gain confidence and excitement about learning is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Outside of school, I love spending time with family, reading, crafting, and decorating. I am an avid reader and love challenging myself with reading goals throughout the year. I also have a son who keeps life fun, busy, and full of love!

Ms. Jasmine Terry

Hello! My name is Jasmine Terry, and I am excited to join the Trip Elementary family and this wonderful team!

I have many years of elementary teaching experience and hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an ESOL Endorsement. Outside of school, I enjoy creating art, spending time with my pets, and being with family and friends. I am also the proud mother of a 21-year-old daughter who attends Kennesaw State University.

I look forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and fun! 😊

Ms. Selene Vargas

Hello! My name is Selene Vargas, and I am excited to continue serving the students and families of Trip Elementary, a place that holds a special place in my heart because it is where my own educational journey began. As a proud product of the Grayson Cluster, it is truly meaningful to give back to the community that helped shape who I am today.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Georgia Gwinnett College and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University. I also hold endorsements in ESOL, Reading, and Online Teaching. Currently, I am pursuing my Specialist degree at Piedmont University while also working toward my Gifted Endorsement.

I am passionate about supporting diverse learners and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growth, and collaboration with our Trip Elementary community. Once a Ram, always a Ram! 🐏

Ms. Brandy Williams

Hello! My name is Brandy Williams, and I’m excited to be a part of the Trip family! I am a Native Floridian from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In 2022, my family and I made the move to Snellville, Georgia, and we’ve loved becoming part of the wonderful community. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University and my master’s degree in Reading from Nova Southeastern University. I am certified in both ESOL and Gifted education, and I’m deeply passionate about teaching and learning. My goal is always to inspire students to reach their full potential. Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, fishing, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I’m truly looking forward to an amazing school year at Trip!
