Ms. Candice Mathews

My name is Candice Mathews.  I am so excited to be the School Librarian at Trip Elementary!  I have spent my entire career in education in the library—in both elementary school and middle school.

When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my husband, two children, and wonderful menagerie of dogs, cats, and chickens.

Ms. Lisa Hill

Hello Trip!  My name is Lisa Hill and I love being the ITI Coach at Trip Elementary.  I have been a part of GCPS  for the past 26 years. Previously I was an Engineering & Technology Teacher.  I truly feel that my teaching background helps with my role of ITI Coach.  

​I am married to the most amazing man, Fredrick.  In my free time, I love to spend time with my family.  During the summer my favorite thing to do is be on the water, whether it is at the pool, lake or beach, with a good book.  During the fall I love watching UGA football, GO DAWGS!  

I am so excited for the school year to begin and to the chance to work with the students, parents and staff of Trip.  This school year is going to be amazing!

Mr. George Jones

I'm an Air Force veteran with over 20 years in technology. I've been married for 28 years, and a proud parent of two wonderful kids; Cameron and Kailyn. I enjoy watching sports, traveling and spending time with family. I've lived in the Grayson for 25+ years and hope to continue supporting the community for many more.

Ms. Julie Patch

Hi Trip family, my name is Julie Patch. I am so excited to be the media clerk! I was born in Georgia and have lived here my whole life. I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I married my high school sweetheart, Chris, in 1995 and we have been happily married ever since. I have two amazing daughters, Lindsay and Caitlin, who both graduated from Grayson High School. Go Rams!  We also have two Australian Shepherds, Ozzie and Kai who keep me busy. I enjoy reading, playing tennis, being outdoors and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite sports team is the Georgia Bulldogs.
