Dr. Lesley Hill, Principal

I am humbled and honored to serve as the Principal of Trip Elementary School. This is my 26th year in education, and my passion for the profession has grown with each year. I am a product of the Gwinnett County School System and have lived in the Loganville/Grayson area for over 20 years. I have watched as Trip was built and grew into the school of excellence I now have the pleasure of leading.
I look forward to partnering with you and the community to empower each and every student with the knowledge, skills, and character needed in the journey of lifelong learning. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where students, staff, and families want to come to learn. I hope that you will join me in the work!

Crystie Flynt, Assistant Principal

I am honored to continue serving as Assistant Principal at Trip Elementary School. With a strong sense of purpose and enthusiasm, I look forward to another great year of working alongside our incredible students, staff, families, and community partners. It’s a privilege to be part of the Grayson community—Go Rams!
As a proud Gwinnettian, my roots in this district run deep. I attended Gwinnett schools as a student and have spent over two decades teaching and supporting learners across this great school district. My journey has included roles as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher, reading interventionist, and most recently, an instructional coach in the Office of Language Arts & Literacy, where I supported educators across the district.
Alongside Dr. Hill and our dedicated leadership team, I am committed to fostering a safe, positive, inclusive, and high-achieving school culture. I believe that through collaboration and shared commitment, we can ensure every student thrives and reaches their full potential.

Kim Lee, Assistant Principal

With 31 years in education—30 of those spent in Gwinnett County Public Schools—I have had the opportunity to work with incredible students, teachers, and families. My journey began at Suwanee Elementary School, where I first stepped into GCPS classroom. Since then, I have taught Kindergarten, second grade, third grade, and fifth grade at Rockbridge Elementary School and J.C. Magill Elementary School. My administrative path started at Centerville Elementary School, where I later helped open Baldwin Elementary School before joining Trip Elementary School.
I earned my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia, a Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Governors State University. Education is my passion, but I also cherish my time outside of work traveling, cooking, and attending concerts.
Each year, I am impressed by the remarkable achievements of our Trip Elementary School family. It is evident that we all take our school and district mission to heart, ensuring that our collective work remains focused and meaningful. Being part of this continuous excellence is a joy, and I look forward to another incredible year of learning, growth, and collaboration!

LaTasha Boynton, Assistant Principal
It is with immense gratitude and joy that I write this letter of introduction as your Assistant Principal for Trip Elementary. My name is Latasha Boynton, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Grayson Cluster and Trip Elementary. I look forward to working in partnership with Dr. Hill and the staff to continue the work of advocating for and providing all students and families with an educational experience where high expectations, service, and diversity are celebrated.
I have been serving students, teachers, and families in Gwinnett County Public Schools for 9 years. I began my career as an elementary school teacher supporting students in the areas of Language Arts and Social Studies.
I earned my Leadership Certificate from West Georgia University, a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College, and a Bachelor in Science in Speech from Georgia State University. Prior to coming to Trip, I taught at Sycamore Elementary School and Kanoheda Elementary School in Gwinnett County. I also taught at St. Tammy Parish Schools at Pontchartrain Elementary in Louisiana. Personally, I am a native of Columbus, Ohio. I am married and have three lovely children; Asa, Aidan, and Layla.
When I began my journey as an educator, I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those I served, and this continues to be the vital component of what drives me every day to support teaching and learning and thrive on building positive relationships with others.
In closing, I am continually reminded that our greatest resource in our schools and communities is each other. Together we can create a school we all love. Trip Elementary's motto is “Where Learning is a Lifelong Journey,” so I will seek to lead our community, teachers, and students. We will all grow and learn together.

Heather Lewis, Assistant Principal

It is my great honor to introduce myself as Trip Elementary’s assistant principal. My name is Heather Lewis, and I am a proud Ram through and through! I am thrilled to work alongside you to continue the outstanding success Trip Elementary is known for.
I began my educational career in DeKalb County Public Schools teaching Pre-K and kindergarten, but I always knew I wanted to be back home in GCPS and was fortunate enough to land a teaching position in 3rd and later 1st grade at our fellow cluster school. I realized very quickly in my career that leading, serving, and celebrating our students, families, colleagues, and community brings me immense joy and is a top priority for me.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Georgia, my master’s and specialist degree from the University of West Georgia. I also have my ESOL, reading, gifted, coaching endorsements and leadership certification. I live in the community with my amazing husband and two beautiful girls, Mia and Harper.
I am a firm believer in relationships first. I’ll work tirelessly to ensure our school is a continued safe place where each and every student comes to learn, grow to their highest potential, and become lifelong learners.
